Opened in 2014 by Shams Al Qassabi, the first female entrepreneur to open a business in Souq Waqif, Shay Al Shomoos is Doha's go-to for a traditional Qatari breakfast: baid o tomate, shakshoka, khobiz regag, macboush and balaleet, served home-style. The owner is a local celebrity and the tiny spot draws queues of locals and visitors.
